How to read your report…
Conceptinet provides quarterly reports as part of the on-going search engine optimization efforts for your web site. The goal is to get you to have as many top 10 or better rankings for as many relevant search terms as possible.
The URL Column shows the search terms (keywords) people might type into a search engine. Below each search term is a list of the links to your site that will appear with that search term.
The Current Column shows your ranking (position) on the search result page. The goal is to get lower than 10 with 1 being the best. If you are a 1 you are the top of the page for those search terms on that search engine.
The Change Column is the number of positions your site has moved since the last report. A positive number is good a negative number is bad. The larger the positive number the better improvement.
The Engine Column shows which search engine was used for the given ranking results listed.
How do I audit these numbers on my own?
Simply go to a major search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo) type in a search phrase listed on the report and count from the top of the results which position you are in. Remember, it can change daily but is not likely to change more than a position or two within a given week.
